Event Pics (From Spectators)
Not to step on any toes of the fine folks over at Yellowwood.
However I always notice at least 3-4 people on the courses with cameras, and I am sure more in the pits.
It would be nice if there was a thread (maybe a sticky) where people could post up their "non-professional" photos.
Or at least links to them. I know I have a bunch from the Drexel race I took myself. (Some killer jump shots)
Thoughts?

No worries.
I've wondered about that too. At one time Flip was managing the Gallery software stuff as an add-on to the website here, but it's fairly complicated and is just yet another thing that needs to be updated.
Starting a flickr group is pretty easy, but everyone would have to have a flickr account to post to it and then manage permissions, photo theft, liability (kids), etc.. I think Picasa has collaborative photo groups, but then how do you manage the photo sizes/quality. Web based stuff will have to be output from Picasa back onto the user's hard drive at web size because if everyone tries posting over two hundred 2bajillionpixel images, it'll get ugly. Then there's the time involved in sorting, healing from chigger bites, ....

Re: Event Pics (From Spectators)
I recall a time, not to far in the distant past... while attempting to get thru a sporty rock section at any given race in the FM Series, that the damndest thing would happen.
One of the trees...., usually a Spruce of some kind and always wearing a Boonie hat, would blind me with a eye-numbing flash and at the same time yell at me to go faster.
I always wrote it off to dehydration-induced dementia.

The saddest sound in all MotorSports is the noise the drivetrain makes as you slowly coast to a complete stop.

Why can't something like an account on SNAPFISH be set up and make the password known to everyone on this website so that after a race any person that has pix can log on to that account and upload them??? Is it any harder than that?
I have overlooked the obvious before....

Winnerrrrrrrrr! Easy enough. Russ just signed up to be the photo manager for the series.

Did anyone get video of the start at Melvern? I went down at the last turn before heading out of the motocross section and got my camel back handle hooked on someone’s foot peg. Dragged me a couple of feet before either of us realized what was going on! I would love to see that on video.
