2013 Schedule...so far

#1 Post by Iamdanjohnson » Mon Dec 10, 2012 9:49 am

I have several small things to work out so I have not been able to finalize the schedule. I have had a draft for about one month. I guess I should at least give you what i have so far which is really just the first half.

Jan 19 Banquet
February 24 Collins, MO
March 24 Milford Lake
April 28 El Dorado Springs, MO
May 26 Big Springs, KS
June 8 Warrensburg, MO I
June 9 Warrensburg, MO II
June 23 Walter' Ranch, MO
July 4 Drexel, MO

So that gives us an easy spring with about one each month. Those gaps are caused by holidays, other events, and other series running on that day. It may not have been needed but I wanted to allow folks to ride as many races and other series as possible so a lot of rearranging has been done to try and not overlap. We do not overlap MORE series in any of their 8 races and at this point we have 3 overlaps with MHSC of their 11 races.

I still have locations to contact and we still have not had our yearly meeting so I can not finalize the fall stuff yet. At this point we have about 13 and I am trying to keep it close to that.

OK so we finally get something new to chew on here...Those old threads can only be milked so much ya know?

First of all what I see so far looks AWESOME! Although are we all going to have to ride ElDorado BACKWARDS AGAIN? I still have neck cramps from ElDorado 1....not to mention that steering sucks riding in reverse...oh well....
AND Warrensburg 1 and 2, now THAT'S A WEEKEND BABY!!! If TClimber still doesn't have a bike I'll have to give em a loaner fer sure for Warrensburg!

Word on the street is someone is moving to the seniors and Dan gave em #1062...Hmmmmmmmmmmm...why does that sound familiar....Hmmmmmmmmmmm...is that someone that already has some of my bike paint rubbed on their frame already from races past?.....Hmmmmmmmm...who is this masked man?

Not to worry, Husky Boy!

I did me some "be-hind the scenes investegating" and could only learn that the individual in question.....(why do we not have a 'drum roll' smilie available at this time?)......

Rides old, sub-standard equipment held together with tape, JB Quik, bubblegum, and his own ingenuity.

Looks like a retired Air Force Test Pilot.

Will talk to a stump, fenceposts, rocks, landowners Wives, and anybody with a GoPro on their helmet.

Is an absolute SOB to pass in the tight AND open stuff, if he figures out you are in his class.

Is a close personal friend of Westendorf....

Ring any bells, Dennis?

I can't place the guy, sorry,

NO WAY!

I was convinced that I had it made when I persuaded Wirefryer to go back to the 700's club with a hex put on his bike using the sand wich's home brew using real raw hamburger and pigeons feathers!

NO WAY!

How can this be? What the hell did I do to deserve this? I'm running out of places to hide...er .. places to "aspire to".

I think your saying that somehow my hex on you boomeranged back on me so Slomojo is on me once again?

NO WAY!

Do you have any idea whats it's like to get this guy off of ya? It's easier to get off sticky baby poo out of the carpet than to get this dude off your tail, bro...I've already seen what this nasty little creative creature is capable of. He once bled rear bike brakes with a water bottle and a piece of vacuum hose he ripped off his truck , makes lights for his 250R, has a secret battery pack and god knows what else under that secret seat he sits on, fills his tires with helium to gain extra height on jumps and is capable of killing a man 6 different ways with a roll of duct tape and a Q-tip. This guy is trouble...once he gets your number he drags his feet in the dust, sings russian whaling songs (very distracting), his bike shoots electrified wires out the back and Dan says there's nothing in the rules to prohibit it!

NO WAY!

I figured after him earning another 2 digit 700 number he was sitting pretty....Hmmm...I knew I shouldn't a paid up front for for that hex job...well maybe I just didn't boil off the pig's hair long enough...hmmmmm....

I thought that paying the scoring officials would have kept him at bay, crap guess he'll even show up at the Forward Motion family feast too!

I've got to say something, only I don't know if I should thank you or try to defend myself.Problem is most of its true.

I'm finally a senior.Back in 08 my plan was to ride trailrider for a season and move to senior, but the age was raised to 50.Last year the age went to 45 but I wanted to wear the 74 I had earned.I'll be 50 in March and there is a lot of difference in physical ability between that and 35.

Now I only need to get two things an AARP membership and some depends!

Actually I needed to take the time to hone my skills so that I can hang with all the sandbaggers in the senior class.

Its on Dennis.

SWEET!

Glad you moved up Joe, I'll show ya around at the first race. Usually we seniors just do a couple of laps unless it's hot then we do one and stop off at the card game that's usually at a nice flat spot in the shade somewhere. That's why we have a practice lap before each race...Dan has someone set up the card table, chairs, iced tea, lemonade and usually cookies but sometimes cake or pies. We still don't have cheer leaders, or attendants but I'm guessing they will start this year for the senior class. That's why Wirefryer moved back to the 700's! He lost so much in the 5 card stud game we were having he went back to racing!

You and I both started the same year - my first full year was 09 and I was hooked. Our skill sets are almost identical and I'm thinking the only edge I have is that I have a sweet suspension and yours was borderline dangerous the last race! If you tweak your suspension I'm thinking it's on brother! Just like the old days! It doesn't matter - hot, muddy, rocks, logs, creeks, ruts, roots, moon rocks or jumps, you a real SOB to pass. You can hold your own. (Just ask Devon or Mr Houghton, or Mr. Haney himself!) I can't wait to be banging bars again, till then all we got is the trash talking!

I'm sure that Warrensburg is going to be an absolute "epic" weekend this summer for sure. We will cook steaks and potatoes and see if Mike Brown and Tim are cookin up that shrimp again....They know everything there is to know about the shrimpin bin ness. You got shrimp salad, shrimp sandwich, shrimp cocktail, shrimp scampi, shrimp pasta, grilled shrimp, boiled shrimp, fried shrimp, baked shrimp, garlic shrimp, shrimp pizza, coconut shrimp, southern fried shrimp, sauteed shrimp, shrimp jambalaya, bacon wrapped shrimp....

Oh well shoot, I guess 2013 is REALLY going to the crapper now! AS if my job isn't hard enough to stand on the podium already! Now we gotta get Slim a piece of the pie too! Aw...what the hell...the more the merrier right? Heck who knows, if we start having 30 bikes line up in the senior class then who knows what might happen! On any given Sunday Steve Wahlets (?), Barry Harris, Jeff Fenton, ED, Harvey, Joe, slim and us regulars might have a great battle of the decade. YEP...then maybe Tim might come back...who knows? I'll try to get Wirefryer to talk some sense into Mr. Haney to come back. Sometimes our alter ego's can get us to do stuff we ordinarily won't do.....
