#1 Post by ProudSis » Wed Feb 13, 2013 11:39 pm

The Off-Road Cup February 13th, 2013

The 2013 Off-Road Cup promoted by Midwest Off Road Events LLC (MORE) and presented by Moto Europa/KTM of St. Louis, will be take place Saturday, March 30th at The Training Grounds near Eldon, MO.

This will be the 3rd annual running of this “one-of-a-kind” 9-hour 3-man team cross country race. Previously held in Louisiana in 2011 and Mississippi in 2012, the plan is to have this annual event in a different state in the Central US every year.

The Off-Road Cup is designed to determine the best off-road racing series in America. With 11 team classes and 3 Ironman/woman classes to choose from, all skill levels are encouraged to compete for their series. Riders will be allowed to ride their own bikes and all racing will take place during daylight hours.

Pre-Entry is now open and available by logging onto www.theoffroadcup.com.

The course will be around 10 miles with an estimated Pro lap time of 25-30 minutes.

Along with the perpetual trophy for the Pro class winners, there will be a $2500 purse for the PRO class teams (1st = $1300; 2nd = $800; 3rd = $400). For 2013, we also have included a $500 “Overall Ironman” purse (1st = $250; 2nd = $150; 3rd = $100).

FLY Racing, HBD MotoGrafx, and Silkolene Lubricants are on board to provide giveaways for this year’s event that is making its’ first stop in the Midwest.

In addition to the 14 different classes that are offered, there will also be a “Super Series Challenge” award presented. At the end of the event, each series’ top 3 CLASS finishes will be added together (1st = 1 point; 2nd = 2 points; etc.) and the series with the lowest combined score will be the “Super Series Challenge” winners. ALL classes count, the tiebreaker will be the series with the highest OVERALL finish, and to be eligible a series must have a minimum of 3 teams competing.

Regional and National level race series owners and officers are encouraged to coordinate teams to best represent their series and area of the country.
