Calling all Seniors

#1 Post by shredder » Fri Nov 01, 2013 6:51 pm

What do you think it would be like to run the last row with the fast guys? We won't catch the tail end of the 700s, the fast juniors 900s, fast 800s need to deal with the 600s . I think its a win win for everyone. Please jump in!

I would like everyone's 2 cents, Chris, Joe, Randy, Todd, Jim, Mike, Ed, Harvey, watch ya thinkin? Also everyone else in any row!

It sound OK to me. Most of us couldn't find our row without help anyway!

Don't let one cry baby intimidate you. Stand your ground and ride on. On split race days we can start behind 500's. Then he could find something else to cry about on those days.

Oh yes I agree! I have had passing issues too as well as other seniors in the heat of battle but we fix em on race day at the track. This tends to get cleared up more gently and quickly and most time I even make friends with someone I didn't know yet. I look forward to having a couple more clean laps without catching to 700 and one or two 600s.

Let's see...who
says that?... .hmmm... oh well...
It's all good!

There is a reason we have this class system based on speed percentile. (The Missouri series is now startin to flirt with this same system.) Sure, some of the 800s and 1000s have similar speeds depending on the course/day. The reason we have the 10s class is so you guys don't have to run with 700 who have a slightly higher speed percentile and no one has to race with some of the younger people in the 800s.

If you think you should start behind the 500s I'd recommend moving up rather than trying I get your class to start behind those guys. That would be jumping several classes to get into a race with others' who's speed bracket is much higher. Keep in mind that the reason we split the classes during some races is due to the shorter lap times at these tracks.

See ya out there tomorrow!

I think it should be based on speed percentage like every other class is. That's the nice thing about doing it this way is avoiding Lapers on the first lap.
