Trail Tech Halogen X2 Torch - KTM Specific Harness

#1 Post by Pumpkinpatch » Thu Nov 21, 2013 1:30 pm

First $75 (half of new price)

Great kit for night riding, Ozark 100 miler.
Bought new and have had on 2009 and 2012 KTM 2 strokes for night rides.

Includes the X2 Torch (with clear rock guard) and the KTM specific harness kit (Trail Tech 3600-SWHA) and the three position handle bar switch (that includes the kill switch in addition to the light switch Off-On low-On hi).
This is the halogen model. Does not require rewound stator or modification of factory ignition (as long as the bike has a lighting capapable ingnition).

As is in the photo.
Nice and clean. Not all beat up.
Installation instructions included.

Wade,
I'm not sure if your bike has the lighting type of ignition.
The bikes I've had it on were both XC's and had the factory wiring loom that this kit plugs in to.

My guess is if you don't have headlight wiring already, it may not work, or may require modification.
The advertising on the wiring for it says "Plug and Play KTM" but having installed it; it does require the headlight wiring on the chassis. This kit seems to be for replacing the pull type headlight on-off switch to a three position with kill button arrangement.
Then, if you swapped back to a stock KTM headlight; the wiring has that plug on it too; so you could swap between the X2 and factory headlights.

You're going to need that when you make the night show at the 100 miler next weekend Jason.
I'll hold the flashlight and take pictures of you as I nurse my wounds.

You interested in the light kit?
I'll be arriving in KC Sunday night late and will be around KC until Wednesday p.m.

I've also got one I'd be willing to sell, brand new just doesn't have the switch to turn it on and off. I bought it for the 100 miler but decided to go a different route. $50 since you will still need the switch for it work!

Yeah, I will take it. I have to add a XC stator, but at least I have the light part taken care of. I can paypal you or we can try to hook up when you are in town.

Sounds good Wade.
PM me your cell # and we'll hook up somehow.
Are you going to the 100 miler? If so, I'll bring it along there.

If not and you don't need it next weekend, I'll have one of the kids get it to after the 100.
