Sponsor Question
I have always taken it (them) for granted I guess, but what does it take for the sponsors on the L side of the website pages to get their company logo there and to be named a sponsor of FMHSC?
Do they:
1) donate funds to FMHSC?
2) give rider discounts on purchases?
3) provide 'goodies' for grab bags at the annual banquet?
4) combination of the former 3?

Re: Sponsor Question
Are these donations (of any type aforementioned) tax deductible?

Re: Sponsor Question
yes, they would be a tax deduction for a business for advertisement. That being said you can also write off any racing expenses as well and call it Sponsorship or advertisement.
Thanks to Katie, Luke, Ali, and LETKO Cycles, Kenda, Amsoil, ODI, DT1, HBD Motographx, Dirt Tricks, Acerbis, Scott, AXO, Gaerne, Pivot Works, Vertex, Hot Rods, and Regina for the support. #215

Re: Sponsor Question
"Want to know". Talk about bad typing on my part. And to add to this, I guess it's not odd to inquire about sponsorships being tax deductible if they owned a company.El Dog wrote:@Streets:

DEA answered the question anyways.
Sorry about the confusion.

Re: Sponsor Question
Thanks, guys.
I do own a private business outside of what I do everyday, but was thinking more about asking Mid America Powersports down here in Wichita if they would consider one of the above. Would be nice to have a place here that would offer a rider discount on parts and the like.
Looking forward to the 2014 season!
Merry Christmas All!
