Milford moved to 3/23

#1 Post by Iamdanjohnson » Sun Mar 16, 2014 5:47 am

Too windy for drivers and miserable here by the lake. Course is blown down in areas. May as we'll wait until it is fun.

Sorry, I know how this affects each of you.

Thanks to the support I get from Debbie, Jadan, Grayson, and Karly Johnson AND Dunlop, Letko, Cycle Zone, Motorcare.

It's all good!

It sounds crazy here. I can't imagine what it's like out by the lake. Thanks for trying.

I know you hate to do that Dan after you put all that time, effort, organization, gasoline et. and all else that it takes to get a race on but thank you for saving us from a crappy day at the track, Sometimes it's hard to do the right thing but I think you got it right.
Thank you for all the voo doo that you do.

Dan's got a good course going, and now it is burnt in better. Good fun today and probably a better way for me to get my first peg time of the year than a race. Thanks for cruising some laps with me Jay! :D
Oh yeah, we had that wind yesterday + sum.

All of the decisions are based on making the best of the bad situation. No doubt.
Glad that people understand.

Dan stresses a lot over ever having to cancel or postpone a race and today was based on the conditions we were seeing out at Milford Lake (can you say whitecaps?) and bitter cold and the travel conditions we know most racers would have to go through.

So, pack it in, race another day!
See you all next weekend at a sweet Milford Lake race.
Longest and best course ever, I would say.

OnTheRocks, Kmarshall9, KTM Erik, and myself camped at Campground A over in School Creek Saturday nite as out of a North wind as we could get, Tank was the smart one and camped out at the Comfort Inn at Jtown  .

We knew the wind was coming about sundown and it showed up right on time!

One second I'm about halfway thru my steak dinner and the next my steak dinner is flying across the lake  .

We battened down the hatches but the wind rocked and rolled all nite, got really rowdy from 1 to 3 am.

It got in the high 70s while we where setting up Saturday....once again Kansas weather lives up to its evil reputation!

The saddest sound in all MotorSports is the noise the drivetrain makes as you slowly coast to a complete stop.

……..I have often pondered what it would be like if I could control the weather.
