Drexel Questions Forum.

#1 Post by shredder » Mon Jun 30, 2014 6:15 pm

DAN...OK,
since you'd expect nothing less from me and I don't want to disappoint, I have a stupid question.

Do we push our dirt bikes this year to the start with no running engines and what about ATV's in the pits going from place to place?

I can't remember if it's a noise issue or a movement issue with all the family and pets walking around. I want to leave the City of Drexel with a good impression of us dirtbikers. I'm thinking we could ride our ATV's last year but is it cool this year? Either way I understand completely but Stacey is asking me if it's ok if she can ride her ATV around this year and I can't remember certain stuff since I woke up at Ballard, standing in a gasoline shower and looking up at Seth looking down on me.
(why does it seem that people are always looking down on me?...HMMMMM)

(I haven't seen that new Honda ATV safety short called "At Honda we think safety is number 2", but we both will plan to take the class and get our accreditation before Drexel if ya thinkin it might help Dan.)

I may not even ride the Drexel Race as when I stuck that landing in the creek bed on my feet my legs didn't really bend enough to take enough shock blow away from my back and I'm down in the back now. We will see about racing but Stacey and I are coming out either way.

Also I've checked my percentiles and Dan I think your right...I need to move up to the big bike pee wee's..

Don't forget guys and gals...big numbers go first. Danno makes the switch at this race. Please remind everyone you know (well except... no need to remind the 1000's as we already know it all and besides it's getting a little crowded on that line anyway.)

More of a statement than question:
The temps look to be highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s. Can you believe it??!!

Are we doing the same start as last year?

I'm not sure about the start but we are running in reverse to last year. I've also heard about a new ski jump, bringing the total to two:)

We will be able to use atv's and bikes for "SLOW and CAREFUL" transportation. IF there are issues, the Police will stop all riding in the park. Remember not all of the spectators have been around bikes, or have even been to a race before.

Thanks in advance for all the careful and thoughtful riding in the park.

It's as simple as this...If you aint pokin along your going too fast...
If when riding your ATV and you "need to get around" the people on foot...your going too fast...
If when your riding ANYTHING and you startle and old man with a cane...your riding too fast!

Let's all be courteous and not scare a person who isn't used to being around the bikes...ok?

Be slow and courteous, let's be really cool and careful so we get to keep coming back. This isn't the place to practice wheelies in the pits....

ok

In all seriousness, just be respectful....like you always should. Everyone knows "THAT GUY" in the pits; you know the guy that just buzzed your camp at Mach1, then 2 laps into the race you go around him like he's standing still. This isn't Top Gun, leave that stuff on the track not the pits.

Don't be THAT GUY.
