I do not understand, you guys wash your air filters? Every time I would wash mine it would fall apart. You guys must have those new fangeled foam filters I have heard about in the magazines. I will just stick to the old paper filter, it has worked for me since I started riding back in the 60's.

and in the 70's when foam filters first came out we used 30 wt oil instead of that nice spray on stuff we have today.

I've used no toil for years now, both my 350 and my 4-wheeler have no toil filters in them. I wish they would make one for my 690 Enduro, which oddly enough is a paper filter, may have to go with K&N on that one.

Shredder, thanks for the tip on using TSP, when my current supply gets too low I will have to try that.

I see that no toil now has chain lube, wonder if they have a disclaimer on the bottle to keep people from putting their chains in the washer for cleaning purposes.

Tom if your running a paper filter you only need to change it every 4 years so don't waste your money buying a whole lot of them. Also you can really speed up your bike by not adding any fuel after your 2 lap practice run - we found out you bike is much lighter than dragging around a lot of extra fuel. Handling is truly epic too!

Just giving out a few tips...trying to help out a friend when I can!

Nope, I wash the bike, then spray the chain with WD-40. (so it doesn't rust)
Then right before practice, spray it with the NutBlaster, then again before the race.

Literally, there has to be 250+ hours on the CR250's chain, and sprocket combo.
2 full FMHSC seasons, little MX, and at least 4+ hours a week in practice/fun.

(Its an o-ring chain) of unknown brand.

Laundry Detergent such as Tide liquid is the best way I've found to clean an air filter. You will thank me.

Then you havent tried TSP. You can clean most anything with TSP and paint right over it but use laundry detergent and you better be careful if its ok on certain tasks as it leaves a residue film behind. Both are great for filters but I have so much TSP powder laying around and it works so fast and rinses out so fast I cant go back!
