I bought the bike new in January of this year. Only rode it two times. Hour meter is showing 5.5 hours. KTM pretty much sold out these last winter and I got one of the last new ones in existence in this area. Actually the guys at Surdyke's had to drive to Moline Il. to find this one. Being winter and too cold to ride anyway, I got to reading up on these and decided to let Eric Gorr at Foward Motion do his big bore and cylinder work. These are 144cc stock. The big bore brings the displacement up to 155cc. He reshapes the head and ports the cylinder. The motor is set up for pump gas and the porting and head work is designed to broaden and improve the power through out the RPM range. And YES Virginia, it is FAST. You can find out more about Eric Gorr's work at http://www.goforwardmotion.com. Everything else is pretty much stock and original other than a Devol skid plate and Hardline Hour meter. All installed at new. The original Dunlop MX51 tires have 0 hours on them as I was running the wheels off my 250f the couple of times I rode the bike.
I'm 55 and more of a four stoke kind of guy. The bike is lots fun but not my cup of tea. Just got a little crazy last winter and thought I wanted one. Now I don't.
