#1 Post by ssexton1362 » Mon Sep 28, 2015 10:11 pm

Thanks in advance for your participation on Saturday in support of Drumm Farm Center For Children. All proceeds from Saturday and land-owner proceeds from FMHSC race on Sunday will go directly to help the Foster Families that are supported by this first-class organization in Independence, Mo.

We want to welcome all who come to our land near Virgil City, Camp MoPo! Here's what's going on:

Come camp Friday night if you want (primitive camping).

Gate fee - $5 (for all over age 10)

Register for the Poker Run between 10 and 12:30. The ride will begin at 1:00 (everyone is invited to participate in the Poker run whether you actually ride or not). Non-riders will just draw 5 cards for their hand- $30 (includes chili dinner).

We'll have fun for the kids (and kids at heart) - bounce house, huge inflatable slide, hayrides, bonfire Sat. night.

Concessions available 11- 2ish - hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, soda, water, Powerade, popcorn, candy bars.

Poker Run winners announced and Raffle ticket drawn for 2015 CF MOTO 600 Z Force side-by-side around 5:00 pm. Poker Run prizes - $150.00 best hand, $100.00 second, and $50.00 third.

Chili Dinner served around 5-5:30, then bonfire and S'Mores. (dinner included for Poker Run participants) - for all others we will gladly accept a donation.

Start your FMHSC points day Sunday with a hearty biscuits and sausage gravy breakfast with juice, hot chocolate, and coffee. We will gladly accept a donation.

We will also be selling new Forward Motion tee shirts and hoodies. We will also have some cool Forward Motion hats.

Sunday will be a normal Points day activities including Pee-wee racing.

The plaques are the coolest yet - with FMHSC future-stud Chase Kyle on them. I suggest you get his autograph while they are still free!

Most of all, we just want everyone to enjoy the property and have a safe fun weekend.

Alright everybody. Time to have some fun for a good cause. This weekend is the Virgil City Charity Poker Run and Hare Scramble. Saturday is your chance to have fun, maybe win a little $$$ and most of all get your course knowledge for Sunday's race. Since no one (except those of us who cut it in) has been on this brand new course everybody should be out Saturday to see what's up.

Depending on what Dan does for the race the course is about 7.5 miles of just about everything. Tight woods, fast and flowing woods, elevation, technical, open grass for a drag race and lots of good spectator spots for the riders to show off. Then top that off with the fact it "ALL" goes to charity and you cant pass it up! Besides, after the races Todd #1063 had this past Sunday at Merwin he could use all the support he can get!   Probably a good thing he is promoting and not racing. It will give him a chance to heal up. Boy, his wife Susan is going to ring my neck!

There will be great camping open Friday. Its easy to get to and get in & out of and there will be activities for us big kids as well as the little kids so bring the family and make a weekend of it.

Sure hope to see everyone there. Hadnt raced for a while until Merwin and it felt good and I realized how much I missed all you knuckleheads! 8) Lets all do it again along with the poker run this weekend.
GO TEAM LETKO!
