Walters Ranch was awesome today
Jim P. And I rode a lot today. Even found and rode the MISSOURI HARESCRABLE course. We made several loops. Then we jumped on some of the nastiest trails we could find. It was a good day for training. I did go down hard on some flat rock. Bike is fine but, my right elbow got the worst damage. It was hard riding on Jim's tail as was getting pelted by rocks and UFO's. We rode for about three hours. I'm sure I will be soar tomorrow.

We found some missing orange plastic, did that belong to one of you?
We changed our plans because Gibbs would come out Sunday. He later called me and couldn't make it.
I did go ride with my youngest son at the family farm on Friday evening. I took him out of school earliy to do some riding.
Saturday I found lots of thorns. Ended up poking the tube. Couldn't get a tube to hold air after patching, so I Slimed it ran 20psi. in the front. It held all day Sunday.
We should do this again, a bigger group would be more challenging or better yet, more smack talking.

Re: Walters Ranch was awesome today
Sorry Eric, I really did want to make make it but as it turns out it was best I didn't.
Beside coming down with the crud, I'm home sick today and didn't feel worth a hoot yesterday, I was able to take the #736 Rocket Ship to Gardner for a little play. You Know, the maiden voyage after the complete tear down.
Turns out during the tear down the ball bearing in my Rekulse slave cylinder that the push rod rides on had been lost. No Rekluse. Clutch worked but could burn up my Rekluse. 17 cent part kept me from riding. Oh well, called Rekulse, standard 3/16" Chrome steel ball is all it is. Found it today at Nuts and Bolts hardware. Go figure.
Keep me in mind. I would have made it if circumstances had been just a little different. We may want to holler at Todd Sexton and ride Camp Mo PO. Need to work on it for the race!
See ya soon!

Re: Walters Ranch was awesome today
Another great Saturday riding, only this time I took my oldest son Ezra with me. He did good and sometimes he scared me on how well he conquered a rocky down hill without falling. Next I will be taking the youngest.
I believe there is a poker run coming up the first weekend of April at Walters Ranch check web site for details and other events. It might possibly be open during turkey season if there is no lease on the land.
