For all classes involved, I believe holding the line is more important than getting out of the way. The faster riders will only make a move when their is room. Just stay to one side of the trail or the other. And try to resist the urge to race with them when they are beside you.
I prayed for an old, wise angel who fly's faster than I ride. 2005 yz 250// 2000 cr 500// 2007 rmz 450// 2008 ktm 300// 2013 ktm 300 xcw.

If have followed any number of Vet racers in vet40 class you would know they can't ride on one side. It's like they are on a slalom course. It's like a blocking maneuver.
Tim, I tried to warn yah about this subject and look it has already gotten out of hand.

Well then it's a good thing you don't race them (or us) now isn't it? Remind me again what you have contributed in this conversation, other than "warning" Tim? Oh wait, nothing other than talking s#!t.

I will say like wise to you too.
Dan picked the Vet 40 class as the best choice of racers known for letting faster riders by. They should have more experience than the younger racers. You can't give them advice on how to let riders by. Just hold your breath.

This will be my 10th Season with FMHSC on top of a 6 year run with the KOOR Series that resulted in back to back points Championships in 93-94.orangecrush wrote:

Before that was a very educating but financially crippling 4.5 Season run in the 5 Star circle track Series.
So don't pretend to lecture ME on passing etiquette....
And yes, we Vet 40 racers can work every inch of a course in precisely the manner you described, and since you where in the Vet 40 Class at the time, that would imply we where Racing you.... and that's kinda how its supposed to work that last time we checked.

The saddest sound in all MotorSports is the noise the drivetrain makes as you slowly coast to a complete stop.
