They added a few creek crossings this year! The track really flows nice and hopefully the rain today will bear down some of the dust?!

Practicing on the tires really calms you down. You need speed and momentum and squeezing just a tad of clutch and throttle can help make subtle effective adjustments...trouble is when your wrists get tired it all goes to hell in a hand basket.
It's like what Dans preaches..."Speed and Momentum are your friends, till they aint!"
And buddy you will know when you know...Ya know?
I'm stoked to be back. (I googled "How to catch a Gibber" but the results that came back wasn't what I was looking for!)

Shredder,

Sorry to have been so quite these past few days but I have been in the SGR Speed shop dialing in the Ole' #1036 KTM. 8)

Although I am not convinced the Husky 310 machine will have anything for the recently modified 250 XC-W / SX Hybrid Super Bike I will happily give you the best advice I can.

1st: Start the race with 1/2 Tank of fuel. It will be most important that your bike be quick and nimble when you need it and the extra fuel of a full tank will only weigh you down.

2nd: Start the race out slow and easy. No need to deal with any annoying roost from 1036. If you are not sure of the proper procedure on this feel free to hang back with Todd and Stickney. They will be able to show you the proper positioning behind me for the hole shot. :P

3rd: Don't bother to refuel during the race. A refueling stop will only hurt your lap time and possibly knock you out of your rhythm. :?:

Last and most important: DO NOT over react if you get lapped. Chances are scoring will never know.

Don't know if you have considered letting all the air out of you tires or not. Sure seems to work for Big John!

Sure hope this helps and I wish you all the same luck I am hoping for Todd and Stickney!

See you at Melvern!

You're awesome Shredder! All the guys are. I'm having as much fun this year as I can ever remember.

Truth is I really don't see much chance of holding you off so I gotta play the trash card while I can. However, please don't think for a moment I plan to lay down. I will be going for it for the next 2 races. I really hope it comes down to Carbondale deciding 3rd and 4th for me and you.

I expect nothing but 110% out of you and the Husky too!

See you tomorrow fellas.

This really has been a fun year. I think it's because everyone is out there not holding back and really pushing themselves. On any given Sunday you just never know what the outcome will be. We have an "epic" (man I love that word) group of guys to race with with. All the guys are mentally tough out there racing on the track. (well all except me...but I'm working out!)

It ain't over till it's over!
