This really makes me think of European Vacation when Clark hits the guy on the bicycle. Shredder Griswald. There really are some uncanny similarities.

Your not helping here Dan, so please just move along now.....
All that advice and effort to get my fat butt going faster finally paid off but ya didn't mention that everything starts happening faster too!
Just like all that work you put in me to get better starts and then I finally get the hole shot, dart into the woods and.....and......and.....well, you think to yourself....now what? So I take a look back and the next thing I know I'm in a creek that aint on the course!
So take yourself to the starting line, sign is up and going to full tilt...15 seconds and you look over and see Shredder. Will they shiver? Heck no! Not if they see Shredder Griswald! WHADA YA THINKIN?!
Please sir, move along now.......we're walking........we're walking.......keep moving now..... people let's keep moving........keep moving......................moving right along now.....thank you for coming.........please .........keep moving, and we're walking people...... we are walking......

I just gotta pass this along as I'm hearing it again, right now.
Hey Joe, I know that like most mortals you too do not use an I pod with music because it's distracting but it really sharpens my focus, hardens my resolve and keeps me pushin harder. One of my favorites I used against you was "Kick start my heart" by Motley Crue which was a favorite song with a belated close friend of mine so for me it has double meaning but I want to share it with you because it also reminds of you dipstick, every time I hear it....
I would usually put it in the song line up late in the race so it would get me pushing harder. Ever wonder why we would be racing and then sometimes I could just get up and walk away? Well this song would do it...
When we started this band
All we needed, needed was a laugh
Years gone by...
I'd say we've kicked some ass
When I'm enraged
Or hittin' the stage
Adrenaline rushing
Through my veins
And I'd say we're still kickin' ass!
(oh my gosh I finally got as weird as ol crazy Karl!!!! - quick...someone call a doctor...QUICK!)
See you guys at Ballard if Danno can strike a deal with Mother Nature....Don't mess with Mother Nature.

Might be some confusion with numbers. The other "1040", me "Blister" was not at Adrian on Saturday. I was dual sporting in Colorado and couldn't make the race. I last raced at Big Springs and took the nasty fall and blow to the ribs. I'm recovered now and I plan to be at Ballard 2 . Look forward to meeting the other 1040/1014 and seeing the rest of you again. I can't wait to race again. Hope it doesn't get rained out. I've enjoyed reading all the reports from Adrian. Wish I could have been there for the excitement. Sounds like I missed a great one.

I 100% CANNOT listen to music. I rely heavily on the sound of the motor to determine shift points and other things. Plus, there is something magical to me about listening to the snort and snarl of a 500 cc four stroke as I beat the hell out of her...lol But, in general, listening to music is a heavy distraction to me when I'm trying to concentrate hard on something. Clogs my mind and makes me not pay attention to the task at hand. I believe that some of this is due to my many years of playing the trombone in school, and having to actually "listen" to the music as opposed to just "hearing" it. At any rate, those of you who do wear Ipods, more power to ya, and be safe...
