This weekend will not work out and since it is not a points race, it should be no problem to push it back two weeks.

Because of the extreme heat - we are rescheduling this race for August 5th, in the hopes that these extraordinary temperatures will be over by then. We are sorry to disappoint those of you who were planning to come this weekend, but hope to see you on August 5th. This new concept for putting on a race has been envisioned as a way to help overcome the heat, and to minimize the dust we have encountered in the past. We want everyone to have a good time with this, be safe, and really enjoy themselves with this, so we have decided on this postponement in the interest of having a safer race environment for everyone involved, and lots of fun too!

A few ideas.
Start race earlier
pre register online before race
helps beat the heat
If split race run pee wees between big bike races. like an intermission.
Time trials for race order
I like the idea will be ineresting to see how works out.
After one lap for time how about divide total # number of riders into classes example as ten or 12 per class. Give each rider colored piece of tape for helmet and or # plate. That would detrermine rows at the start red green brown blue etc.

What will the entry fee be for this event, and is there a gate fee? Also, how many total laps (or how long is the race time wise) will big bikes get?

Coming from someone who doesn't do a whole lot of harescrambles, I would be MUCH MORE inclined to race more often if we did this race format! There would be much less DNF's and you get an opportunity to make minor adjustments between races!! You've got my vote!!!!

For those of us who didn't go or couldn't make it to this event, is there anyone who can explain this new concept, what changes were made, etc???
