I talked to a few of you last night and nobody said don't do it so...
I signed up for endurocross in springfield on the 16th.
My hopes for race day are the following;
1 don't hurt the bike too bad
2 don't hurt my body too bad
3 have fun
too bad the other ex 9xx now 8xx guys are afraid to come out and play

We love the endurocross events. Don't kid yourself, the obstacles are big. We are planning to go. Get there early and walk the track first. However, Collin broke his wrist at the hillbilly race in Cassville last week, but doc says he should be ready.

Oh and if you have extra levers, tubes, wheels, rotors, shifters, fenders and pipes bring them. You may need them after first practice.

Just ride it relaxed and keep calm.
That first practice lap, you're going to be thinking what the h%#& did I just get myself into. Heart rate through the roof, arms pumped.
The Springfield one is a pretty decent setup, so relax and have fun with it. Momentum through the rocks and watch how the faster guys are running the sections. The log matrix in particular can be tricky if you are timid going into it. It all looks worse than it is. They're a lot of fun, but I won't be hitting this one this year.
