The 3rd Annual Springfield Endurocross is Feb 15th and 16th. This year we welcome special guest X Games star Kenny "the Cowboy" Bartrum will be competing this year and we have a new class: Amateur Money in which no pro's or experts are allowed. Check out the flyer for details. The track will be completely new this year too! Each day is a separate race so you can come race one or both. Indoor pits, a huge crowd, ton's of racers, this is a calendar event to compete in or just watch. Practice is at 4pm each day with racing at 7:30.

We had a great time at this event last year. If you elect not to race, its a great venue just to come and watch. Everyone should try this once.

A friend is trying to talk me into riding this. Surprisingly, I can come up with about a hundred reasons why not, but only one reason why I should --it sounds like fun.

Watch for me. I'll be on a KTM (so it will be easy to pick me out).

I gave it a try. What a hoot! I will be a little more prepared next year.

Endurocross? Hah, how tough can it be? Well... let me tell you what I learned.

Arm pump: Expect two hours worth of hare scramble arm pump to attack you within two minutes.

Logs, rocks, and other obstacles: Everything I knew about diagonal logs and rock piles exited my brain the second the gate dropped. And I'm starting to regret taking that Rekluse clutch out of my KTM.

C class: Speedysdad says C stands for "Chaos." He should have added "Carnage." I'm still thanking the dirt bike gods that I did not sign up for C class.

Loader tires: My practice track tire section suddenly seems inadequate. Size matters after all.

Was it worth it? You bet. We need this race in KC.

After seeing this race made me slap myself for not bringing the bike. It was a great time except for the air flow in the bldg. Whew bout choked to death lol.
