Air Cooled Races

Hey all, this is Curtis Harper. I am the guy that has been running the Vintage series in Missouri for the past 15 years. I hope I am not stepping on any toes with this post.

We are giving the Vintage Hare scramble a second shot this year with a little twist. I am doing an Air cooled series on some of the Saturdays before our Vintage races.

It's a pretty simple format designed to be a bit more laid back. If your bike is air cooled, we have a class for it. Vintage twin shock, Post Vintage single shock (up to 1989), Modern Playbike (1990 and newer). It is conceivable to open up a pitbike class if enough showed up.

The first one being a week from tomorrow at Midwest Extreme in Merwin. Of course being in March and given the soil at Merwin tends to be slimy, weather will play a big part. As of last weekend the trails were pretty good. I will also be running these at Soggy Bottom in April, Harper's farm in Greenwood in May, and River Bottom in October. Being as they are all Saturday, I don't think it will interfere with anything else going on and it is more seat time and could be seen as practice for some of the other events.

Updated information will be on movmx.com concerning race day. Hope to see some of you there.

Sounds fun! My uncle does the vintage races in Greenwood. He says it's a blast! I wish I still had a few of my bikes when I was a kid.

Where can I find more information about this. I have an XR400 that doesn't get ridden much anymore and would like to have a reason to get it out for some fun at Soggy Bottom, i've never been there but it would be the closest one for me to make it to.
