Awesome! Thanks for the update.

When can we arrive on Sat? Will riding ahead of time be available?

(Awards will ONLY be available at the LETKO pits after the races.)

Sorry, there will not be a pre-ride on Saturday this year. We will not have the track completely marked until later that day. You can show up any time on Saturday to camp and walk the track.

Any possibility of riding just the Enduro section Saturday Evening? Truth be known I have never raced Melvern, (Been to the race a couple of times) and the jumps / tractor tires are my biggest concern.

Thanks,

Thanks,
Steve, I was thinking the same thing. I'm not going to be there early, but by the looks of some the vids out there, the tires can get you. In the race vids it looks like guys are just going around the logs and jumps. Is that an option, or is everyone expected to hit every one? I did go around the big jump at Merwin. I enjoy tracks with an enduro section but don't want to get passed by a bunch of people who are going around them.

Brian, One year I was out there but did not race (2011) they had a rout around the tires that was longer and slower. I don't recall that in 2012 and was not out there in 2013.

Call me silly but I have been practicing my jumps a little bit for this one and I agree that the tires can get you. I plan to take the tires and the doubles for speed but was hoping to practice a little Saturday evening. I plan to do a complete practice lap Sunday am. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Only 2 races left! I think my bike is dialed in. I just hope I can ride as good as my bike runs! Otherwise I will be eating Shredders dust. I believe he has a laser sight zeroed in right between my shoulder blades. He probably will hit me with something like the "Bat Net". :?

Practicing on the tires and jumps was really my hope for Sat. as well.
(Well tires)

The jumps were really really easy last year.... 2nd gear, constant speed and you sailed over them. (almost easy to over jump)

Thanks for the tip. Jumps scare the crap out of me especially doubles. I think I can handle the tires but I have seen better riders than me crash. Should be a fun race regardless.

Thanks,

Enduro Section?
There is an Easy bypass section on the Enduro to go around the Logs and Tires.
I is designed to be a slower rout but it allows riders to bypass Logs and Tires if they want.

Saturday Riding?
I have advertised no riding on Saturday due to we our thinking it might take Friday and all day Saturday to get the track marked for the Race on Sunday.
