How do you carry a small packet of tools and parts during a hare scramble? For the riders who attach them to the bikes, how and where?

I used to wear a Moose Racing Enduro Pack which is basically a fanny pack built to withstand the rigors of off road riding and crashing. Now I have a camelbac with a few built in compartments that holds a few tools and parts.

I always have a Leatherman tool in case I get lost on the race course and get tangled up in some barbed wire........

Ditto PK,
I only carry one tool at a race in my camelback and that is a leatherman. I can cut out bailing wire, barbed wire, tighten nuts and bolts, bend and tweak stuff, pull out small twigs and branches, (except the long twig and leaves I got stuck under my goggles and nose once - Dan pulled it out when I went through scoring....)

I know some two-smokers who carry a spark plug and wrench in case they foul out. I also carry some zip ties on my handlebars and almost everyone on my row has seen them and know they are there if they need them, and a tiny roll of duct tape.

See truth is.....if I can get someone at a corner and push them out in the brush, then I can zip tie their hands together around a tree and duct tape their mouths closed so It takes the sweepers a while to find em..... HEY IT COULD WORK!

I carry a Leatherman, small multi tool, spare plug and plug wrench. All very light. Have changed plugs twice on course in 2 years and adjusted rear brake at Big Springs this year with my Leatherman.

I have yet to be tangled up in barbed wire or zip tied and duct taped by Shredder.

I carry a flare gun in my holster. Hard to get a straight answer around here Mark. I leave my tools in the car at the races but when I go on adventures I carry a couple in a hard case and put it in my camel pack. Some bikes have some room under the seat but you still need to carry the tool to take the seat off some where other than under the seat. I took the battery out of my KTM XC and I got all kinds of room to stash stuff.

We used small "make up" bags that the wife no longer uses, they are compact and zipper closed, slide them inside a hydration pack and done!
