I sure do miss you folks

#1 Post by slomojo » Sun Jan 04, 2015 9:39 pm

I followed the series on here (AKA been lurking)and it looks like everyone had a good one. I really miss mixing it up with the old guys and getting passed by the fast guys. This is going to be the first Banquet I'll have missed since 08. I always check the results and read the race reports, but it isn't the same without the sore muscles and bruises.

Anyway,I wish everyone a good 2015 season, and be safe.

Miss you too Joe! It just aint the same without ya man! I'm retiring the points chase this year.

I left the dentist just yesterday and finally got the dental portion of that Carbondale practice crash done. I apparently shattered the top of an upper tooth off at the gum line and the bad part is it's a tooth that supports a bridge. I knew something was wrong when the bridge felt loose. My dentist was able to remove the bridge, remove the debris, cut out some gum, drill the root that's left and put in a post to support a new bridge. It's not preferable but it will work unless I bust the post off then I'm just SOL.

I coulda bought a brand new bike with ALL the fixin's between the broken foot, broken wrist and broken tooth I received on the practice at Carbondale courtesy of a flat front tire.. I hated to put that much money into this old body I'm using now but it's the only one I got...ya know?

Is that invitation to visit and ride with you in Colorado still open? You still got a dirtbike? Have you successfully pissed off all the cops and ranger's yet by riding your dirtbike where ever and whenever you want or are you still working on that?

Had some mighty good times Joe, mighty good times... Hope your doing well... Heck with this... I'm calling you this week.

I too must admit I'm having withdraws from my addiction to SLO-MO-JOE/SHREDDER beatings. Here is a chance we can let it all hang out. I have printed the pre-register and am planning another shot at the desert 100. You both are welcome to stay at my place if you're interested. If there are other readers that are interested give me a shout....

I'm in Pagosa Springs. Last two Sundays I rode in New Mexico, Aztec and Farmington. Lots of good dual sport riding in Pagosa not so much single track. I'm finding more all the time though.

Anyone who wants to ride southwest Colorado come on out.

I'm a super Senior "B" class... I'm not planning on chasing the Hare Scramble points but I do plan to ride a few scrambles and do the enduro's. 70-90 miles of track is very appealing compared to the 10-12 mile HS. Also the Enduro's are somewhat closer to home. The first ride this season will be a 2 day desert poker run! WHOOOP

Man that 100 miler looks awesome and I'd love to stay at your place Wade but man that's still quite a bit bite to chew, going all that way, getting worn out and hauling all the way back (kinda like the ol days with you and ol Joe). I've been contemplating how to miss work and pull it off but it's just out of reach for me this year but man I tell you what everything I looked up on the net made it look totally EPIC!!!
Thanks for the generous invite Wade!
