Will a tank off a '97 WR 250 fit? I have one that I bought from Yamaha about 5 years ago. Has some scuffs but doesn't leak.

You probably already figured it out but in case you are still wondering, the 1997 WR250 tank will NOT fit a 2000 YZ250. The last of the two stroke WR models used the older (93 to 95 if I remember correctly) YZ body work. It would probably fit any 1993 to 1995 YZ, no problem, but that WR tank will not fit the next generation YZ (1996 to 2001). You will have to find an aftermarket tank such as IMS, Acerbis, Clarke etc for 1996 to 2001 YZ 125/250. I have been known to come across these on occasion, but don't have anything at this time. Try searching for one on Ebay. Never now what will pop up...or when. I'll keep you in mind if I should run across one any time soon.

Well that sucks. The tank is almost new and the bike needs to get out of my garage. Whole or in pieces.
