You must be new to the series. Therefore you must run a pink back ground. Your background will change once you have become a lifetime member.

We also recommend you start in the 900's class for the first event so that you can gage your speed percentile.
The pink backgrounds are recommended for your situation. Alternatively, fuschia, mauve, pale green or pearl all work as well.
Welcome to the series Mr. Moore.

These are great tips for a rookie rider such as Jerry L. Moore, Mark. I think your color picks are right on for this guy and all of your color recommendations would look good on a Yamaha although I am partial to the blue/pink look. Looking forward to seeing you line up with the 900's, RiverRat.

Thanks guys. I was actually asking for my son. He is ordering backgrounds from DeCal Works. Just wanted to make sure since I can't seem to get the rule book to come up. Didn't want him showing up looking like a squid with the wrong color. Harescramblers seem to come up with some odd combos. lol

Jerry,
You have to be a little cautious of all your replies except Pumpkinpatch but he is the one that wants to borrow a bead breaker to install Tire Pressure Sensors so now I'm not so sure!?
No background color restrictions. Only Numbers. If you go to the home page and then info you can look at classes. It gives a vague description of the rider capability for each class. the class is designated by #. I.E. 736, 1036, 836,936, ETC. Background is irrelevant.
If your planning to race the next race which is Virgil City you should come out early for open ride on Saturday. After that all willing be happy to give you bad advise!
Have Fun and see you at Camp MO PO (Virgil City).

Just remember, the odd colors are very easy to see and therefore allow people to remember. Like every time I see gold flake numbers I know to lift my foot up. I see orange numbers I'm probably going the wrong way....of course it also allows your cheering section to be able to pick you out easier!

And when you see reflective yellow numbers coming up behind you. It means you need to pick up the pace or your riding too slow.
When you catch those reflective yellow numbers, I probably ran out of gas or crashed.
