Had my first look at Carbondale yesterday morning, 30% of the area under water. If you know Carbondale you know its history and how the runoff is. Paul and I worked most the day yesterday putting in re-routes and draining low areas. Trying to get most the descent trails connected, the low areas drained, ribbon, arrows, creek crossings and new lines in by Sunday would be a challenge to say the least. That with the fact the weather future didn’t look as promising middle of the week. Paul thought it made more sense to postpone early with all we knew rather than chance it and ruin everyone’s weekend. Trying to get in for next Sunday, weather forecast not the greatest, but we will go on as planned to have the course ready.

Looking at the homepage I'm guessing it's cancelled now?

5/22 Just one of those things with the weather. Believe turn out will be low Graduation time of year

Midnight after an event, the home page rolls to the next one. When we postpone we have to leave the postponed race up all day so nobody shows up. Sometime early Monday I have to reset the race date so it shows up again.

Whoops, sorry for causing any frenzies or hysteria by putting on some of the Facebook pages that it was canceled. When I saw that the next race was Ballard Missouri this morning I just assumed it common sense with all the rain we've had that it was canceled early enough for people to make other plans.

Going to Waterloo Saturday to race the Urbancross...we will be back in time to race Sunday but looks like low temps and more rain possible later this week. I'm probably not going to even check until around 10am Sunday!!!
