Hey Perry, good to hear from you and good to see there is still riding at Big Springs. I heard a rumor that we are racing next year at BS too. I hope that's true.

Your post says by invitation. Does this count as the invite and if not how do we get on the list? I didn't make the last one but would like to make this one.

PRIVATE INVITE ONLY, NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, Poker Run/Fun Ride Day at Big Springs. 9am-5pm Sign up 8:30. $20 buy-in no bike required, Raffle and Prizes. $5 gate fee gets you: Pulled Pork, Beans, Chips, table service and drinks. Lunch served 12:30, best hands and awards at 1:00, then Responsible open riding until 5pm. Responsible ATV/SxS ok.

It has been brought to my attention that some ATV and SxS riders/drivers have intentions of riding in the Poker Run. I just assumed that everyone knows that throughout the History of the World, two wheels and four wheels on the trails together has never worked out very well.

I was assuming again when I thought that girlfriends/wives/grandparents would want to slowly ride around the pits and maybe give little kids a ride or go to a spot to watch the dirt bikes on their ATV and SxS. It’s a fact, two wheelers can transverse a 9 mile loop in under 30 minutes and four wheelers may take an hour or more. It can create animosity on the trail and no one needs that…..

It would be OK for ATV and SxS to transverse the course after the poker run is over, during the Open Riding, preferably in a small group and use Extreme Caution and DO NOT STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF A TRAIL while looking at a fallen tree, some crazy looking mushroom or some neat looking flowers. Pull to the side and except to get passed by a two wheeler traveling 10-20mph faster. But, if you want to spin doughnuts, do burnouts, look for the deepest mud hole and tear up the grass please go to the Lake Perry ORV area parking lot and proceed:)

Trails are shaping up nicely for the Poker Run and Fun Ride this weekend!!!
