Welcome to the official post for Walter's Ranch 2016.

This is my 2nd race as promoter; so, yeah; I'm an expert now.
I ordered perfect sunny 72 degree Ozark fall weather this time.
3 new clean toities and Mike and his crew make some good food; and.......a hot shower available this year!
Lots of improvements at Walters this season.

This race can run pretty much rain or shine.
This time, it should be all shine! This is the race you get to enjoy some really primo "hard loam". Rock translated.

This one is back to the single race format; which means you need (and have) 9 miles of Missouri Ozarks to enjoy! We worked hard this year to make the course a good mix of familiar and over a mile of brand new cut trail.

The course will be much as we have grown accustomed to, a mix of flowing wooded trail and sections of slow-going gnarly. We'll have easy/hard sections for those who want to keep their pipes dent free. No guarantee against flats though; so save up for heavy tubes and get those installed!

Text me or PM me with your work requests and I'll do my best to fit you in.
I'll post the official workers list next.

Our race sponsor, Letko Cycles has very generously donated a lot of great items for us to give away. Lots of goodies to give out.

The "big ticket" item is a pair or race tires!
It'll work like this (for the tires at least, still thinking about the other items).
Racers entering the event are eligible for the drawing.
You get a ticket at sign up; show up at the big bike trophy presentation and we'll draw out a winner!
You need to be present to win.

Walter's Ranch 2016 - Course update

Last post for today.

I'll be at the site tomorrow through Sunday and will try to get updates posted here and on Facebook over the next few days. The place can definitely use some rain; so I won't mind a few drops tomorrow and tomorrow night as it looks like it might get. Friday's weather looks stupid nice as does Saturday and Sunday. Super excited for that!

The course will be right at 9 miles.
We've tried to use the less traveled trails without killing the natural flow Walter's is known for. Some fresh cut areas so we can avoid the more worn spots and to add some interesting new stuff we found.
