Milford Race Report

Back in the saddle again. Oh crap took that bad line yet again. Had a great time, thanks again.
Think I only rode big springs last year and maybe one other race, rode in the 900 class so we wouldn’t have to stay the whole day, the boy rode in the 800’s. I was number 1014 the year before.
Got to the race in plenty of time to sign up and take a practice lap, however it would have made no difference in my riding. I take the worst line possible no matter. I always think crap I’ve taken this bad line yet again. Oh I’ve missed that corner again.
First lap was wild, missed the obvious route coming out of the sand on the start, but was able to make the next available hill climb, thought to myself this is probably the way the pros go, made damn sure not to go that way again. Then hit the big bottle neck, just waited until it cleared. Everyone stayed in their position.
Loved the sand whoops, hated the big sand corners, crashed at least twice in those.
Pretty much raced with two other 1000 guys the entire day, so that was a lot of fun. Good guys never tried to train onto the fast riders as they went by, just held our positions then got back to racing again. First time riding with the really fast guys as a 1000 rider, think it went ok, a lot of them said thanks as they went by.
Had a great time, made it to the race and back home can’t ask for much more. Thanks to all the folks who put the race on, course was great.
