Heartland Park will be November 5th
Posted: Tue Oct 24, 2017 8:32 am
That date is after daylight saving time ends so the schedule will have to be changed to make it all work.
The race day schedule will be the same all the way up to the first race starting at 11:00 but it will only be a 90 minute race.
11:00 1st Race
11:00 2nd Race still open for sign up
12:30 1st race ends
12:30 2nd race sign up ends
12:30 2nd race practice begins
1:30 2nd Race begins
1:40 1st Race trophies available for 15 minutes only
2:55 2nd Race ends
3:30 Results posted
3:45 Trophy presentation for both races.
At the last event there was an issue with Heartland Park holding a rally car event on the same weekend as our race. This took away a large field that was intended to be grass track and resulted in our track being only 3.5 miles for practice day. When the race happens on the 5th the grass track will be added in and the course should be about 5 miles or so. This property is small so there is a lot of times the track is running right next to itself. Be mindful of the ribbon and stay on the course and all will be well with the world. It is not a very challenging track with the respect to elevation changes but it is a fun track to ride with areas being very tight in the trees to wide open fast in the open connector sections. You will not need another gear as many have been worried about. The transfer sections are fast and open but not that long. Also, that culvert tube picture that is posted is deceiving, it is much taller than it looks. Going through it is not an issue at all no matter how tall you are. Perhaps we will post a new picture with someone standing in it for better perspective.
