This unit needs to go. Been sitting in my barn for almost a year. It ran awesome when I parked it in November of 2010. I have moved on to a Sprinter van.
I've owned this for 16 years. Many, many missions were ran in this thing from Texas,Oklahoma,Chadwick to everywhere. It never failed me at all. Well I take that back, the transmission let go about 10 years ago. I had it rebuilt. I'd say it has about 5-10000 miles on the rebuild. Put a new eldelbrock carb on it 3 years ago. Put a new timing chain in about that time. I also changed the ring gear and pinion from a 4.10 to a 3.73. I was trying to get better gas mileage.
It is a 1979 Chevy 1 ton with a strong run'n 350. It has a little over 100,000 miles on it. I'll get the reading and post up what it says.
I took my stereo system out of it.
It has a Carrier 13500 btu rooftop air that I ran with my generator. Blows COLD !!
