Big Springs status?

#1 Post by verticaltwin » Thu May 17, 2012 10:47 am

My coworker that lives out there said the last hearing was last night and the racing/riding is shut down. Is this true?

Here is the article that is on CJ World.
http://cjonline.com/news/2012-05-17/com ... cle-course

We need to remember that Perry and others have put many hours into getting this issue passed. A huge thanks goes out for all the work getting the property to the level it is at now. Let Perry handle posting what the outcome will be.

The last thing we need is anyone going out and making things worse by showing how disappointed they are on the neighbor that caused this. Let's let Karma take its course.

I didn't say nothin... ;-) Not happy about the outcome so far, but I know that they are not done talking either.

My coworker told me about last night's decision, then I read about on CJ Online... but nothing definitive was ever said about the already scheduled B.O.K. races.

Thanks for clearing it up, Perry! Hopefully I'll see you guys there on Saturday for testing out a new-to-me bike.

The saddest sound in all MotorSports is the noise the drivetrain makes as you slowly coast to a complete stop.

These country folk act like the course is in the middle of Los Angeles! Us Bikers are dirty, poor, unedjumucated, and violent! Can't have this kind of riff raff in such a well groomed and fragile community can we? Don't forget the huge carbon footprint that we will leave after 5 events in one year! Sorry.... Had to vent!

It seems odd to me that folks living near a rock quarry are irritated by the fact that a few times a year some dirt bikes might be making some noise and driving down a road that would create some dust?? Last quarry I visited was largely dusty and horribly loud, the equipment used to transport said quarry materials are equally dusty and loud...just sayin'!!
