SUNDAY May 27 Memorial Day Weekend FMHSC points race. (See the home page for a link to the flier.)

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, and Tim Wolfe,

Memorial Day Weekend 2012 is promised to be even more exciting than last year’s events! This year will be filled with many different two-wheeled events. The HS course will again have some additional miles added (9 total) and still include one of the most spectator friendly sections on the schedule so bring your friends.

Concessions will again be provided by Buddy Dog all weekend. There will be hundreds of dollars of giveaways and prizes!!! There will be a 30 second girl followed by shot-gun starts. Awards will be presented the FASTEST LAP for each class!!! There will be a VINTAGE race for 1989 and older motorcycles starting at 2:15ish.

I will need a few course workers on race day to work toward a work average. I will need someone to maintain the ribbon during the race and ride sweep before the VINTAGE race at 2:00 and I will need four or so people to police sections of the course and watch for possible lost/confused racers needing to find their way. (Please don’t cut the course. Respect the ribbon, respect the course, respect your fellow competitor and most importantly respect yourself!)

Saturday and Sunday evenings there will be a dirt oval mini-bike race ($100 Pro Purse), Monday morning there will be a FMHSC PEE-WEE race followed by the 5th annual running of the BEST of KANSAS MOTORCYCLE RACE ($1000 Pro Purse) (MX/HS/TT) showcasing the best motorcycle racers in the area. There will be FREE camping all weekend. Gate fee for all three days $12, two days $8 or $5/day.

A couple of announcements:

-Donnells will be bringing some new Husqvarnas to check out.

-A portion of the fees will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project.

-The gate fee will be waived for anyone showing a current military ID.
