Brooks, Iowa race report

Finally made it to a District 22 race in Brooks, Iowa this week and here's the poop:

1. No rocks. Most of the turns were sit-down-lean-over-gas-it. Lots of fun there, but few passing areas. Several deep ravines with multiple lines gave the best chances for passing.

2. Worst start system ever -all three B classes lined up at once, 2 rows deep. If you run into Ryan (#503), ask him about it, then stand back.

3. FMHSC really needs to re-assess the class structure that says everyone is a C rider. My back-of-pack C Vet Advanced status here translated to a 9th out of 30 (from second row of start) in the Senior B (over 40) class there.

4. This was a fun course. It is normally muddy there, but this one was dusty. With a bit of rain it could be the most fun course ever. I recommend FMHSC roadtrips next year if scheduling allows.
