Information on riding Milford Lake??

Going to Milford Lake next week with the son to do some riding
and camping, only experience with the Lake was last fall riding
the HS.
Where can you camp?
electrical hookups close?
hours riding area is open, and how grown over will it be?
people talk about the north and south sides
which will be open? or both?
fees
permits?
Any tips about staying there and riding?
any other places close to ride MX or Trails?

The ORV area is open from 8am to 10pm.

No fees or permits required at the ORV area. The primary rules to be followed are the speed limits in the pit area, stay inside the boundries(marked by barbless wire fences), and if your bike is running and you're on it... there should be a helmet on your head($125 fine ).

The place is split down the middle by the entrance road to the beach, we always race the East/South side. The West/North side is far more sand based with lots of sporty cliff climbs but is a disaster when muddy.

As far as camping, the School Creek campgrounds, about 2 miles South of the beach are the closest.

Camps A and B have nice back-in slots but I don't recall any power boxes on any of them. The whole place got hammered by flooding last year so it's just starting to recover nicely. I believe from Memorial wknd to Labor Day wknd you have to pay a 8 to $10 fee to camp.

Camp C is an old rock quarry that faces the South end of the ORV area. In the Spring and Fall it can be an option for getting out of a South wind... but during the summer months it's party central for the young locals so you get dinner AND a show.

Overgrowth is usually tolerable as the q-tards keep the trails knocked down, but be aware that the place is lousy with poison oak/Ivy so don't go brush busting.

With the past flooding, firewood is everywhere .

The only other Public area I'm aware of up there is at Perry Lake and I've never rode there, despite claims to the otherwise .
