To keep the electric start or not.

#1 Post by Jason g » Tue Sep 17, 2013 4:06 pm

Trying to take a few pounds of the bike. New bike last year added tons of goodies, dripping with orange anodized, anti flat wear, guards and and extra strong roller chains. She is feeling heavy, where to start trimming the fat. Im thinking remove the the starter? [ Safety gear is well worth the weight]. in my opinion

Electric start on a dirt bike is just wrong. What's next, cup holders? Leave the start button for the four-wheeler crowd and kick-start like a man!

I see the 500 # could this be competition psychology. Watching some of the AA starts, I see a majority of kickers kickers. Good advice.

Electric start, battery, skid plate, gone! Weighed 10.5 lbs. on the scales at home. should make the rest of the season go alittle smoother after dragin the dead weight around for 6 months. It was time for a change.
