Relocated to Kansas City area, looking to ride

Hey guys,
This week I moved from the Reno/Tahoe area back to Shawnee, KS. I haven't lived here in almost a decade and have no idea what the riding scene is or has become. I really enjoy single track and gnarly, almost trials style trail riding. How is the FMHSC series? Is there alot of MX courses thrown into the season?
I'd love to meet up with some people to go riding at some good local spots! I promise I won't slow you down.

Welcome back The FMHSC is an awesome race family. You are here just in time to join us at Thurman Iowa which was voted #1 last season. You can expect some elevation changes, creek crossings, and lots of single track without the rocks. Most of the tracks have very little to no MX. Only a couple of places has MX mixed into the course. I've finally got the house unpacked to the point where I can get the bike out. Anybody up for some trail riding? I'd love to find someplace decent within a 2 hour radius of KC. I'm a slow A class rider looking for someone to hit the trails with!!
