Trying to salvage what we can, no insurance on the bikes. What we had: 2012 300xcw, 2012 250xc, 2009 250 xcw. Anything plastic is gone, all of the wiring/hoses etc are gone. Hard parts are all that is left. The motor from the 300xcw is sold. The other two motors are still available. All 3 frames are available, the '09 and the '12 were tagged, so they could be tagged again(clean street titles). We have one wheel set left, from the '12. All three fork sets are here. I have all 3 shocks and swingarms. Everything will need to be cleaned up, I've found that oven cleaner and a scrub brush work well. The engines are as clean as I could get them, we drained the oil and put new in, plus put some oil in the top end and I turn them over every couple weeks or so. I have all 3 carbs too.
I don't know how to price this stuff, I had the 3 engines on ktm talk 6 months ago and sold the one but didn't get much attention on the other two. I'd like $1300 for the '12 250xc motor and $1000 for '09 250xcw. We bought the 12 250 from CZ last spring and it had 55 hours on it, the '12 300 was bought new from CZ by me. The '09 engine had roughly 50 hours on a fresh top end, we owned it for 3/4 years. Both engines ran great, no trans problems either.
Frames, Im thinking $300 for the titled frames and $50 for the other one. Fork sets, $100, they will need completely rebuilt, the lowers are rusty. The wheel set from the '12 $175. Pipes, bars, carbs, swingarms, etc make me an offer.
I guess I should note that the bikes did NOT catch on fire. The gas tanks still had gas in them, they just got pretty hot.
2012 xc forks/shock are sold.
