Still light on Walters workers 3/17

#1 Post by Iamdanjohnson » Wed Mar 16, 2016 8:23 am

I really need a few people to work the gate at Walter's on Sunday. Maybe just someone who can pitch in since most of my work average people will be sweeping and such.

I still need a couple more sweepers. Even if it is not a work average, maybe some first race guys can jump in and sweep. I realize it is not the best situation for 2nd race guys to sweep the first one. I also think there are some buddies out there that don't race but could come and ride sweep for one or both events. I usually split the race in half so sweepers are able to get to someone in half the time.

This whole thing is done by volunteer help. There are no secret FMHSC staff workers or anything. Just me herding cats, two scoring ladies, and Tim Wolfe pitching in all over the place.

Thanks to the support I get from Debbie, Jadan, Grayson, and Karly Johnson AND Dunlop, Letko, Cycle Zone, Motorcare.

It's all good!

....and I posted this in the wrong way/place, yesterday, but here ya go:

Dan - I'm way too outa shape to come right back to racing, so put my name in the hat for "sweep riding" first race and "monitor riding" both races (i.e., be out & about on course to help/fix/report any issues). I don't much care if/how much work average it is - I'm more interested in seat time that's useful to the cause ;)

I may be there early enough to help with gate and/or sign-up. Talk REAL sweet to me and I might be able to leverage my lovely race date to help somewhere, too. Gimme a call and/or I'll shoot you a text...

** the "race date"/wife-to-be, Kate, says she's totally down with helping out with sign-up or whatever **
If it's got 2 wheels, I wanna ride it!

It's OK Brad. He said herding cats, not hurting cats.
