2017 Season points

I have just added all the workers from Heartland Park and I believe I have all work averages in for this year. Please look over the standings and let me know if I have any errors. No need pointing out that a rider has more points than you, was faster than you, had more work averages than you, but you don't feel he should have finished ahead of you! There is a reason that happens!

Some of the later races had some percentiles that are off. This happens when a track is particularly fast and open or very technical. Those two occasions throw off the difference in the leaders speed and everyone else. I cant exactly explain it but I know the adjustments that need to be made to get things as they should be so the system can work. I will get those fixed up in the next week.

The top riders in some classes are out of their speed bracket and this happens every year. People get faster! I imagine most will move themselves up and I will move people as needed. My goal with all of this is to have a line of riders that any one of them could win the race and all of them could be top 5 (but not on the same day!)

I have great hopes of getting everything finalized in the next two weeks and then I will get 2018 numbers opened up.

Thanks for a great season, Dan. Hard to believe that it's over but I'm already looking forward to next year! I know it takes a ton of work to get a race set up and we all appreciate the hard work you put in.

Looks like my second work average is not showing in the system yet. I worked a full day at Virgil City and the second race/teardown at Melvern.

Fixed. All year end should be final now unless someone contacts me soon. I will post a top ten so riders can see who will be getting a year end award. You had to ride/work 8 total. With 14 races and one extra work average it was possible to have 15 total scores of which only 10 counted toward year end points. I think most series then use the same number to qualify for year end awards but I like to see more people get them. Perhaps next year I will raise the total.

I completely forgot to post the top ten list until today. I finished the day I originally made this post. I imagine most of you already know your position just by looking at the results. You can find the top ten list on the information page from now on and on the home page for the next two weeks.
