Heading to Carbondale, wasn’t really expecting a big turnout, figured it would be folks in the points chase, seemed like I was correct. Perfect day for racing, happy it was overcast, the shadows at Melvern made it difficult for me to see.
Got my usual crappy start. I hate watching those start videos, it’s strange I feel like Tucker Smith, but look like well you know Troy. Site lap paid off for me, scoped out a couple of good passing lines, made it around Rich and I think a couple of folks that were following him.
Came through scoring in sixth place and held on to it until the fourth lap when CLIFFORD got around me. My wife showed me some video she took of me and CLIFFORD racing. I thought how cool she caught me with the slow motion camera; again feel like Tucker look and ride like Troy.
Next years racing makes me dream of new gear, new bikes, and new stuff. The old 2006, 300 didn’t let me down all year, new subframe in the future and she will be ready for another season. Like looking down the starting line and seeing guys riding older bikes. Old riders Old bikes makes we wonder?
Thanks to the folks that give up their time to make this series happen.
CLIFFORD is not a Big Red Dog. Its CLIFFORD The Big Blue Seat.
