Just to echo all of the other sentiments, the McFarland family has Ben and his family in our thoughts and prayers as well. I've never met him, but his input on this website has brought me lots of enjoyable reading. Our best wishes extend to all of his family.

I just stopped by Ben’s home and spoke to his mother-in-law. I asked if there was anything that she needed done or if there was anything I could do for her, Ronda or the family. She said that all she needs is for all of us to continue praying for Ben.

Both her and Ronda are staying strong and are very pleased with all of the posts and the outpouring of hope and brotherhood that they see in the comments.

So please continue to help keep the family’s spirits up and post comments when you can. Ronda and her family look forward everyday to see what is new!

[quote="JR919"]If that guy takes on his recovery and rehab with the same heart and enthusium that we've all seen on this board and on race day he will slash any semblence of a "normal" recovery time in half.quote]

Exactly, I bet he hears the same thing that Mitchell did from his Knee Doc this spring, "It Scares ME...., how well you're doing!" 8)

And God help the Nurses! They will have a Tiger by the Tail. When he get's his wheelchair, it's gonna' get stickers, better tires, and he'll post about how crappy the suspension is  .
The saddest sound in all MotorSports is the noise the drivetrain makes as you slowly coast to a complete stop.

I have already started a thread about Ben over on RiderDown, and sent Ben's sister a email with a link to the injured rider intake form.
Jodie is going to make sure that the form gets filled out, and I'll keep tabs with the guys at RiderDown.

I've been reading this for a few days and I'm still lost for words. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Best thing we can all do to start is to show up for Carbondale, race, donate what you can and keep the momentum up for Ben.

yeah, this is a shock. i wish ben and his family the best. he is a very fun loving individual and if you have ever read one of his posts you would know that he is a true fighter. i'm sure he'll pull through this, its good to know that we have a community that rallies around downed riders to help them out. God Bless.

I have a nice Crib with matress and all kinds of baby cloths from infant up to 3 years. I bet we have 3-4 bike plastic boxes of cloths and the crib is very nice and converts to a toddler bed. Please come take it all or I can figure out a way to get it to you if you want it.

If someone wants to haul it to them in olathe I can bring it to Carbondale

When I went down on monday, I just followed the parking signs and parked in the parking garage. I think i went in on the first floor and when I entered there was a information area. I just asked for Ben Burdick in the ICU, they told me what floor. When you get to the ICU you have to use a phone to call in and they can get you in touch with the family. Hope that helps, Chad
