Thanks to everyone that came out to Walters Ranch yesterday for our family's 3rd try at this. Lots of new trail scouting and stringing it together sounds like it produced a course that was a bit of fun mixed with some pain. I've yet to be able to ride a full lap on our courses before and after myself; so it's interesting to learn about the areas that I thought would be fun and those not so much. Definitely a learning process as a race promoter.
I can't thank my "crew" for all the sweat and effort they put into the event. Jonette Shafer, Lauren Stretz, Jared Shafer, Jeremy Stretz and the Family Caldwell.
Thank you also to all who made donations to Zack & Rachel Bryant for Ryder's needs. I hope you got to meet the young man; he is just a joy to meet. I scored some more artwork!
Thanks to Dan the Man Dan Johnson for helping me keep my sanity in the battle with mother nature (she put a whupping on me but we persevered) and for all his invaluable advice.
Final thanks to our race sponsor, Letko Cycles for the holeshot awards and Perry Keegan for sweetening the deal. Hopefully all you racers can make good use of the goodies.
See you all in two weeks! It'll feel like vacation! Don't hesitate to reach out to any of the race promoters like Aaron Hightower who's up next and offer to help. It's so much appreciated, I can attest.
Check out some neat videos being posted by Chad Drum on social meadia/Face book.
