JR class race time
For many years we arranged it so that the JR class raced exactly one hour. Since they start 6 minutes back they would finish at 12:06 or 3:06 depending on which race. I felt that was a bit too confusing so this year I changed it so that they stop on the hour and just race for the 54 minutes. I felt that stopping right at 12:00 or 3:00 was much more simple for the rider, the parents, and certainly for scoring. Most wont notice this unless the rider comes in at exactly the cut off time. I also feel that coming off even those few minutes earlier would reduce the number of riders lapping them and very likely make it just a little bit safer for the JR riders.
